Good morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How are you guys!??????

I AM FINE!!!

THANK YOU!!!

HAHAHEHE=))))

Saturday. Two more days to school reopen. Guys, better start doing your homework if you have not. I must say, 4 weeks feels like 4 months. Well, what to do? Haha. I hope you guys are well and ready for school!

Okay, back to business. The world cup's group stages are over, and now it's the last 16 teams remaining. Top two teams from each group (A~H) will qualify for the knockout stage, round of 16. Simply winners stay, losers out. It doesn't get any better than this. The group matches were challenging, and african teams such as Ivory Coast and Togo, have proved that African football is alive and improving. Out of 5 African teams that are participating in this world cup, only Ghana managed to enter the round of 16. All cheers for Ghana! They will meet BRAZIL in the round of 16. Disappointment for Asian football as both Japan and South Korea failed to qualify. The hosts Germany, and England are expected to go far this time, as they face off form, Sweden and underdogs, Ecuador respectively. France finally qualified into the round of 16, they faced a lot of goal-scoring troubles in the group matches. They meet Spain...Want to know more???

Here's the teams that qualify for round of 16, and who they will be facing.

Germany vs Sweden

Argentina vs Mexico

Italy vs Australia

Switzerland vs Ukraine

England vs Ecuador

Portugal vs Holland

Brazil vs Ghana

Spain vs France

There it is. The first match kicks off tonight, 11pm Singapore time with Germany against Sweden. Enjoy!

Hello everyone! by the way, good afternoon! How's your holidays been going? Hope you guys are having fun!

Finally the waiting has gone, Fifa World Cup 2006 has officially kick into start with the opening match, host Germany against Costa Rica. Germany won the match 4-2 eventually. But it was no easy encounter for the host! They have to bear with two controversial goals by the clinical striker of costa rica, Paolo Wanchope. But, the host definitely make their fans proud by netting in 4 goals. Defender left back, Phillip Lahm scored the opening goal with a nice curling shot down from the left side after beating a Costa Rican defender. Their fourth goal was the nicest one(in my opinion). A long powerful shot 35 yards from the goal by german tenacious midfielder Torsten Frings. My eyes bulged out at the sight of that goal! LOL! Probably the goal of the tournament!

The other group A match, south-americans Ecuador against Poland might be a hurting result for some punters. I've heard that most punters has bet for Poland to win against ecuador for this match. Even I myself said, "for sure Poland will win one lah!". haha. Ecuador proved me wrong. Ecuador proved the punters wrong. They certainly proved the polish fans, who has been cheering on for the poland team, WRONG! They won the match 2-0, with goals from Tenerio and Delgado. Poland could have at least drew the match. They hit the pole twice! Imagine that. After Delgado has netted in the second goal of Ecuador, the atmosphere in the stadium dramatically changed. Ecuador fans were cheering on their team till the last minute. Polish fans sat there, traumatized.

This match proved that this world cup season is full of surprises, flair and brilliance. It also taught me a lesson. Never look down on the underdogs. Lol! certainly, the punters would have learnt their lesson and might want to bet on their favourite teams on the upcoming matches carefully. Don't be shock if the Elephants, Ivory Coast beat world cup favourites such as Argentina and Holland. They might even reach the last eight. You'll never know what might happen in football. Till then, happy holidays everyone. Oh yeah, before i forget! Enjoy this World Cup 2006 season! May the best team wins.

Upcoming matches:
GROUP B- England vs Paraguay

Sweden vs Trinidad and Tobago

GROUP C- Argentina vs Ivory Coast*expect an interesting outcome for this one
